O avanço das obras do Projeto de Integração do Rio São Francisco começa a se refletir no cotidiano das famílias reassentadas. Nesta semana o Governo Federal, por meio do Ministério da Integração e do Desenvolvimento Regional (MIDR), acompanha o início do cultivo nos lotes irrigados da Vila Produtiva Rural Negreiros, em Salgueiro (PE), que devem garantir autonomia produtiva às famílias reassentadas. A iniciativa marca uma nova etapa do Projeto de Integração do Rio São Francisco (PISF).
O diretor do Departamento de Projetos Estratégicos da Secretaria Nacional de Segurança Hídrica (SNSH) do MIDR, Bruno Cravo, destacou a importância do momento para consolidar o compromisso assumido pelo Governo Federal com as famílias que tiveram suas propriedades afetadas pela implantação dos canais da transposição. “No início da implantação do PISF, o MIDR assumiu o compromisso de reassentar as famílias diretamente atingidas e fornecer a elas condições de se estabelecerem e de terem autonomia econômica. Essa etapa, com a finalização da implantação dos lotes irrigados, é a ferramenta que vai dar condições produtivas a essas famílias, independentemente do clima”, afirmou o diretor.
Segundo Cravo, o início do uso produtivo dos lotes representa o passo final para a completa integração das famílias ao arranjo econômico local. “O compromisso do Governo Federal foi entregar um hectare irrigado para que cada família possa produzir a partir da água disponível na transposição. Isso vai permitir que elas se desenvolvam autonomamente, sem depender de verbas temporárias de manutenção. Para nós, que trabalhamos na transposição e conhecemos a realidade do Nordeste, essa é uma etapa fundamental”, completou.
A presidente da Associação da VPR Negreiros, Maria Auxiliadora de Vasconcelos, também acompanhou o início dos trabalhos nos lotes e destacou a expectativa positiva das famílias com o início da produção. “Neste momento, estamos nos lotes irrigados para acompanhar o início dos plantios e a operacionalização dos sistemas de irrigação. Apesar de nos encontrarmos na fase inaugural, as expectativas são altas”, explicou.
Segundo ela, as primeiras culturas implantadas devem começar a apresentar resultados mais expressivos nos próximos meses. “O plantio de milho foi iniciado na segunda-feira, dia 27. Adicionalmente, planejo cultivar sorgo, macaxeira e batata. O que sobrar da água será aproveitado para a semeadura de melancia e abóbora”, contou Maria Auxiliadora.
A Vila Produtiva Rural Negreiros é uma das comunidades reassentadas pelo Projeto de Integração do Rio São Francisco, iniciativa do Governo Federal que leva água a regiões do Nordeste historicamente afetadas pela seca. A implantação dos lotes irrigados representa uma etapa importante, pois garante moradia digna e condições de produção e geração de renda para essas famílias.
