O prazo para municípios enviarem informações sobre resíduos sólidos pelo Sistema Nacional de Informações sobre Resíduos Sólidos (Sinir) foi prorrogado até 31 de maio. A determinação é do Ministério do Meio Ambiente e Mudança do Clima. A medida consta na Portaria GM/MMA 1.376/2025, publicada esta semana no Diário Oficial da União.

Vale destacar que o envio dessas informações é obrigatório. Além disso, é condição para que as prefeituras tenham acesso a recursos do governo federal destinados a empreendimentos, equipamentos e serviços de resíduos sólidos.
O envio também permite o acompanhamento da regularidade do município, por parte do gestor público, perante a legislação. Como isso, é possível ter um diagnóstico atualizado da gestão de resíduos sólidos.

Para enviar as informações, os gestores públicos devem acessar o sistema Sinir, disponível no endereço eletrônico: https://sistemas.sinir.gov.br/login.
Também é possível acessar o Manual do Usuário, por meio do site: https://portal-api.sinir.gov.br/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/1-Manual-do-Usuario-EstadosMunicipios.pdf. A ferramenta serve para auxiliar as gestões no envio das informações.
