A Operação Gota vai levar 20 vacinas do Calendário Nacional de Vacinação e a vacina contra a raiva para as populações indígenas, ribeirinhas, quilombolas, rurais e que vivem nas regiões de fronteiras nas áreas remotas do Amapá.
A ação é coordenada e financiada pelo Ministério da Saúde, com apoio do Ministério da Defesa, Força Aérea Brasileira, secretarias estaduais e da Secretaria de Saúde Indígena, a Sesai.
No estado do Amapá, as equipes de vacinação vão percorrer 11 comunidades ribeirinhas ao longo da ação.
Este ano, a Operação Gota também vai aplicar a imunização pré exposição contra a raiva e a versão mais atual da vacina contra a influenza. O diretor do Programa Nacional de Imunizações, Eder Gatti, explica a meta da campanha contra gripe:
“O objetivo é a gente buscar essa meta. Então, teremos um esforço muito grande de fazer essa vacinação. Lembrando que trazemos a vacina do Butantã, que é uma vacina trivalente, com a composição para o Hemisfério Sul de 2025. Ela cobre três tipos de vírus de Influenza. Então, é uma vacina que é produzida nacionalmente, 100% produzida aqui no Brasil. É bom lembrar que as crianças que não receberam a vacina previamente têm que receber duas doses e a população indígena, toda a população, está contemplada a partir de seis meses de idade.”
Entre as principais vacinas ofertadas pelas equipes estão a tríplice viral, que protege contra sarampo, caxumba e rubéola. A DTP protege contra difteria, tétano e coqueluche. A vacina BCG protege contra formas graves de tuberculose. As vacinas contra febre amarela, catapora, hepatite B e hepatite A, e a imunização contra o HPV também fazem parte da lista.

Atualmente, o estado do Amapá ainda está com índices abaixo da meta de 95% de cobertura vacinal prevista para 2025. Um exemplo: a vacinação contra Hepatite B em recém-nascidos está com 73% de cobertura. As vacinas contra catapora, sarampo, caxumba e rubéola também estão com números abaixo do ideal.
A coordenadora do Distrito Sanitário Especial Indígena do Amapá e Norte do Pará, Simone Karipuna, explica que a ação leva saúde e prevenção às comunidades. “Temos como principal demanda para execução da Operação Gota a imunização. A gente garante equipe de pronto para poder fazer a varredura em todos os territórios, para que a gente garanta a imunização. Mas também a gente trabalha para garantir que, durante a operação, tenha atendimento médico, atendimento odontológico, atendimento fisioterapêutico dentro do território. Durante essas ações, a gente tem conseguido chegar ao máximo de aldeias, para garantir levar todos os serviços e de fato levar a saúde para dentro do território com a qualidade.”
A Operação Gota tem como meta vacinar moradores de 104 comunidades ribeirinhas, quilombolas e rurais, além de 325 aldeias indígenas, espalhadas por 42 municípios da região Amazônica. O valor total destinado à execução da operação é de R$ 56,4 milhões.
