A indústria brasileira voltou a registrar queda no faturamento em maio, acumulando o terceiro mês consecutivo de retração, segundo os Indicadores Industriais da Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI), divulgados nesta segunda-feira (7). Entre abril e maio, o encolhimento foi de 1,2%, refletindo o que economistas já apontam como uma perda de dinamismo do setor em 2025.
No trimestre encerrado em maio, o recuo acumulado foi de 1% na comparação com os três meses anteriores. Para o gerente de Análise Econômica da CNI, Marcelo Azevedo, os números indicam um cenário de enfraquecimento da demanda e redução no ritmo de crescimento da indústria nacional.
“O que a gente percebe no trimestre encerrado em maio, na comparação com o trimestre imediatamente anterior, encerrado em fevereiro, é que se tem queda em todas as variáveis, exceto emprego. Mas mesmo assim, há um crescimento um pouco mais moderado do que o que vinha acontecendo antes”, explica Azevedo.
Emprego
Apesar da queda no faturamento, o nível de emprego no setor registrou uma leve alta de 0,1% em maio, após a primeira retração em 18 meses, registrada em abril. Na análise trimestral, o avanço é de 0,4%. O número de horas trabalhadas na produção também reagiu, com crescimento de 0,8% em maio, interrompendo dois meses de recuo. Ainda assim, o índice teve queda de 0,4% no trimestre.
A massa salarial, por sua vez, apresentou recuo expressivo de 3,9% em maio, devolvendo boa parte da alta registrada no mês anterior. Já o rendimento médio dos trabalhadores da indústria caiu 3,8% entre abril e maio. No acumulado do trimestre, a redução foi de 0,8% em relação ao trimestre anterior.
O único indicador com desempenho ligeiramente positivo foi a Utilização da Capacidade Instalada (UCI), que subiu 0,3 ponto percentual em maio, chegando a 78,5%. No entanto, no trimestre, a UCI também apresentou leve retração.
Segundo Azevedo, a tendência de oscilação entre resultados negativos e positivos muito fracos é reflexo direto da desaceleração do consumo e da instabilidade na demanda por produtos industriais.
“Os indicadores industriais vêm mostrando uma perda de ritmo da indústria em dados de faturamento, emprego, horas trabalhadas na produção e uso da capacidade instalada. Especialmente nos últimos meses, vêm se alternando resultados negativos e resultados positivos muito fracos”, resume.
Mesmo com expectativa de crescimento para o ano, o cenário traçado pelos dados de maio aponta que 2025 será menos aquecido do que 2024 para a indústria — um sinal de alerta para empresários e formuladores de políticas públicas.
