O secretário nacional de Proteção e Defesa Civil, Wolnei Wolff, esteve no Rio de Janeiro para coordenar ações de resposta e apoiar a elaboração dos planos de trabalho. Durante visita aos municípios de Angra dos Reis e Petrópolis, ele garantiu que não faltarão recursos para socorro, assistência e reconstrução nas áreas impactadas.
“Não vão faltar recursos para ajudar os municípios afetados pelas chuvas. Estamos aqui para somar esforços e garantir que as ações de resposta e reconstrução aconteçam o mais rápido possível”, destacou o secretário.
O Ministério da Integração e do Desenvolvimento Regional (MIDR), por meio da Secretaria Nacional de Proteção e Defesa Civil (Sedec) já mobilizou seis integrantes do Grupo de Apoio a Desastres (GADE), três para Angra dos Reis e três para Petrópolis, que vão auxiliar no levantamento de registros dos danos e na elaboração dos planos de trabalho para a liberação dos recursos.
A presença de Wolff nos municípios fluminenses faz parte da força-tarefa da Sedec, em parceria com os estados e municípios. Desde o início de abril, com base nas previsões meteorológicas, a Defesa Civil Nacional iniciou ações antecipadas de preparação, elevando o nível de atenção e articulando planos de resposta junto às autoridades locais.
Nesta segunda-feira (7), Wolnei se reuniu com o prefeito de Angra dos Reis, Claudio Ferreti, e com a equipe da Defesa Civil municipal. “Trabalhamos como um sistema: federal, estadual e municipal. É assim que conseguimos nos preparar e agir com rapidez quando o evento acontece”, afirmou o secretário.
O prefeito Cláudio Ferreti agradeceu a celeridade no reconhecimento federal e afirmou que o município vem investindo em obras de contenção. “O desassoreamento do rio Bracuí salvou muitas vidas. Amanhã estarei em Brasília para apresentar os planos de trabalho de reestabelecimento e reconstrução e também buscar orientações com o ministro Waldez sobre as obras de contenção da foz do rio Mambucaba, que é uma demanda interestadual”, explicou.
O secretário municipal de Defesa Civil de Angra, Fábio Júnior, reforçou o foco da gestão na preservação de vidas. “Sabemos que danos e perdas materiais podem ocorrer, mas nosso principal objetivo é preservar vidas. E o município de Angra dos Reis se saiu muito bem nessa situação”, afirmou.
