O dólar encerrou o período mais recente em queda frente ao real, acumulando desvalorização após ter registrado avanço no ano anterior. Depois de subir 27% em 2024 e fechar aquele ano cotado a R$ 6,17, a moeda americana terminou 2025 com recuo de 11%, ao redor de R$ 5,47.

O movimento acompanha a perda de força do dólar no cenário internacional. O índice DXY, que mede o desempenho da moeda frente a uma cesta de divisas como euro, iene e outras moedas relevantes, registrou queda de 9,5%, indicando um enfraquecimento global da moeda americana.

De acordo com especialistas, a realocação de carteiras nos Estados Unidos impulsionou o fluxo de recursos para mercados emergentes, favorecendo economias como a brasileira. Esse movimento aumentou a entrada de capital estrangeiro e contribuiu para a valorização do real.
