O Palácio Gustavo Capanema, no Centro do Rio de Janeiro, recebeu nesta quinta (7) os primeiros grupos para visitas guiadas, após 10 anos. A partir de agora, o prédio histórico estará aberto ao público todas as quintas e sextas-feiras, por meio de agendamento prévio no site do Ministério da Cultura.
O programa de visitação é fruto de uma parceria entre o MinC e a Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Alunos da graduação da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da UFRJ conduzem os grupos durante os passeios.
O assessor da Secretaria Executiva do MinC, Yuri Soares, considera a reabertura do Capanema à população um dia histórico: “É um momento de muita alegria, afinal de contas o Ministério da Cultura nasce aqui no Palácio Gustavo Capanema e a história do próprio ministério e a história dos vários movimentos políticos que a gente já teve na história do Brasil ao longo dos séculos 20 e 21 passaram por aqui”,
O Palácio Capanema foi projetado por Lúcio Costa e Oscar Niemeyer, com consultoria do arquiteto franco-suíço Le Corbusier. Em 1945, três anos depois de inaugurado, foi tombado pelo IPHAN.
Em 2019 o prédio foi fechado e passou por uma obra de restauração que durou seis anos, preservando suas características originais. Desde maio deste ano, o palácio abriga escritórios do MinC e de suas instituições vinculadas.
No primeiro dia de visitação, quatro grupos, de 25 pessoas cada um, puderam conhecer as instalações do prédio nas quatro visitas guiadas oferecidas, às 9h, 11h30, 14h e 15h30.
Na sexta-feira, as visitas se repetem nos mesmos horários. Haverá também visitas em inglês nas quintas, às 11h30; e nas sextas, às 15h30.
“Não é só uma visita guiada no sentido convencional e tradicional do termo, com guias, é uma visita interativa onde os estudantes trazem uma série de informações que tem a ver com essa formação específica”, adianta o diretor da Faculdade de Arquitetura e Urbanismo da UFRJ, Guilherme Lassance.
