Santa Catarina já registrou 27.624 casos prováveis de dengue, em 2025, mostram dados do Ministério da Saúde (dados até 31/05/2025). No período, foram registrados 11 óbitos em decorrência da doença.
Diante disso, autoridades de saúde e a população precisam continuar mobilizadas na prevenção aos focos do mosquito transmissor da dengue e atentos aos sintomas da dengue. É o que ressalta o secretário adjunto da Secretaria de Vigilância em Saúde e Ambiente, Fabiano Geraldo Pimenta Junior.
“Que numa ação sinérgica, apoiados pelo Ministério da Saúde, estados e municípios, nós possamos garantir a continuidade das ações de orientação da população, avaliando se tem criadouros potenciais do mosquito aedes aegypti, para que quando retornarem as chuvas e outras condições mais favoráveis à transmissão da doença, nós tenhamos baixa infestação e, portanto, menor possibilidade de ocorrência de epidemias.”
De olho nos municípios com alta transmissão da dengue ou número de casos em ascensão em 2025, o Ministério da Saúde realiza ações de enfrentamento em 12 cidades catarinenses. Desde que ativou o Centro de Operações de Emergências para Dengue e outras arboviroses, o Ministério intensificou as ações para conter o avanço da dengue no estado, além de garantir atendimento adequado à população nos municípios mais afetados.

O secretário Fabiano Geraldo faz um alerta especial para os grupos mais vulneráveis, como idosos, pessoas com doenças crônicas – como diabetes e hipertensão – e para indivíduos com baixa imunidade:
“Chamamos atenção para aquelas pessoas que têm diabetes, hipertensão, idosos, aquelas pessoas que têm alguma doença que nós chamamos de doenças com problemas no sistema imunológico, então isso é muito importante que isso seja observado, porque esses sinais de alertas exigem um cuidado muito mais urgente.”
